Fisher Friends, we've been exploring podcasts with StoryNory and today we're going to check out another story podcasting site called StoryBee. Please choose a story that appeals to you, listen to it, and then answer the following questions in a comment to this post:

The title is Cat and Rat. It's about animals being invited to a banquet and cat asks rat when it is and rat gives her the wrong date, so she's late. all the other animals get there and get a year named after them, but cat doesn't, so she's mad at rat forever. I liked it.

The title of the podcast that I listened to is The Cat and Rat. It is a folktale about how the Chinese zodiac calendar was created. The emperor invited all the animals to his palace for a banquet, and cat forgot what day it was, so she asked rat. Rat, not really paying attention, told her, but he told her the wrong date. So, the day arrived and all the other animals went to the banquet and were rewarded by the emperor by getting a year named after them. But cat was late, so she didn't get a year. She was very angry at rat, and never forgot that it was his fault that she didn't get a year named after her. So, this is why cats hate rats. The moral of the story is, make sure you check your calendar so you don't miss important events! I really liked the story because it explained something (the Chinese zodiac) and the storyteller also included great details in describing the animals, like "gentle rabbit" and "noble pig."

3. the main idea is you should always help someone even if you think their lying.
4. i liked it because it sort of teaches you a lesson to always help someone or something bad may happen.

Arrow Man
ReplyDeleteA girls mother dies so her father marries another woman, the women is mean to the girl and does not feed her,
one day the girl goes and crys on her mothers grave. mintets later food appers, she eats the food but her step mother catches her and destroyes the food. she does this three times untill one day food does not come instead a man does. she falls in love and marries him. I liked it because I love the moral. I think the moral is that good things will avenchualy come.

ReplyDelete2.A Portrait Of Peace is about a king who had to choose the best portrait out of about 100 and denied all but two the first being a portrait of a beautiful place with a waterfall and grassy mountain and the second being a rocky terrain and a messed up waterfall the king chose the second because behind the waterfall there was a bush with a nest and a bird protecting his home because the king knew peace isn't only beauty and quiet but also living even in a harsh terrain.

ReplyDeleteThe moral of the story is when ever you go up in front of class make sure your zipper is zipped. I like this book because the person
was getting upset and he didn't know why the class was laughing.
the podcast I listened to was Book report. Book report is a podcast about a boy who gives a book report in front of his class and his whole class starts laughing at him because his fly was down. And the teacher told everyone to stop laughing even tho the teacher was laughing too. The moral of the story is to be prepared when you're doing something. And don't embarrass yourself. I liked the story because it was funny and reminded me to be prepared.
ReplyDeleteMy podcast is titled Book Report. It is about a kid who as reading his book report and suddenly the whole class starting laughing and. The moral of the story is always take your time (when your getting dressed.) And the story was really funny and good. So good maybe they should make it a book but show some backstory and make it longer.

ReplyDeleteIt is about:A boy who was incharge of watching sheep and they ( the vilage) gave him a speacil horn that he had to blow whenever a wolf was taking the sheep. And the boy lied about the wolf being their two imes and it made the village angrey. Until the wolf really came and took the sheep but when the boy blew the horn no one came because no one belived him because he was playing a trick on the village before. the end

The title of of my podcast is Book Report. Its about a kid who reads about report about Huckleberry Finn and everybody starts laughing and then he realizes his underwear was showing the theme is don't let your underwear show.i did not like this book because it was immature

The title of the podcast I read was The Boy Who Cried Wolf. It's about a boy who was told to watch the sheep, and blow a horn if there was danger or a wolf. The boy was bored and blew the horn twice when there was no wolf. But later that night, a real wolf came and he blew the horn. No one came because they thought it was another trick. The moral is no one believes a liar, even if they tell the truth, so don't lie. I liked the story because i liked the moral.

This about a boy who doesn't have a lot of things such as clothes,food,and a good house and he wanted to prove to everyone that he was more than that. I think the main idea of this story is that you can do anything you set your mind to. I like this story because of the message it tells.
ReplyDeletethe title of the story is THE SING. In the story both bear and rabbit want to marry mrs.molly. So, they have a competition were they have to make their own song for mrs.molly. But bear didn't want to so he decided to cheat by stealing a song from mrs.mockingbird. rabbit, did not cheat and decided to write his own song about his family and life.Then ' at the competition , rabbit won the sing. the moral of the story is to not cheat.i liked it because of the moral.

The moral of the story is don't lie because you never know when you might need help.
The story is about a boy who watched the sheep until one day he got board blew his horn, and yelled to the towns people, "Wolf! Wolf! There's a wolf!" They all came running to help him but when they got up to the top of the hill, there was no wolf. The boy did that three times and the third time he did it and the wolf was there no body came to help because they all thought he was lying. In the end all of the sheep were gone.
It was a good book. I liked it because the boy learned a good lesson.
The title of the podcast that I listened to is The Peace Portrait. This podcast is about two portraits,one was a beautiful peaceful mountain. The other painting was a dark stormy landscape. The king looked closely at the details and realized there was peace in the painting because there were details that showed peace. So the king chose the stormy painting for its peaceful details. This story is about seeing beauty in things you might not see beauty in at first look. I like this story because it has a meaningful main idea.

ReplyDeletethe one called I cant find my invisabilty cloak. its about a wizard who loses his invisabilaty cloak and then he loses it again and I think somebody stole it.the moral is keep your loved things close and never let them out of your sight. no it wasnt very explainitory because it was in song form.

The moral of the story is don't lie.
I liked the story because people should know not to lie and this is just a fun story to listen to.
the book i listend to is the archer its about a knight that sees holes in a fence and tries to find the archer that shot it the moral of the story is to learn about anything

the title is 3 Different Little Pigs it is about 3 pigs that snuck in to another house to steal things, but then a wolf came along and tried to eat them. then news reporters came along, and the pigs said the wolf was all bad and they where innocent, but they where robers. i think the moral is dont steal I really liked this story because it has a good moral
ReplyDeleteIt was about a turtle and a farmer and a field of corn. The turtle ate all of the corn. And the farmer threw him in the river. And then the farmer chased him because he thought the turtle couldn't swim. The lesson of the story is don't ask and tel la turtle what you're going to do to him for eating all the corn. And when after you tell him that you're going to put him in the turtle stew, he will just say you can punish me for eating al your corn, make me into turtle soup, I really don't care, just don't throw me in the river! That's why you don't want to believe him.

The Morel Of the Story is Do Not Trick People it and lead you to Danger.

the title is sand in stone its about a boy carving words into a rock and he went to the king and asked the king if he should carve the words into the stone and trekking said,"If you wish to be happy carve words into a rock and write words into the sand."The moral of the story is ask before doing something because he had to ask the king if he should care the words into the sand or rock.
